Instalasi Mudah Squid Proxy Video Cache (Ubuntu)

1. Download paket squid 

--------------------------------------------------------------

# cd /opt/

(Untuk Ubuntu 32 Bit)

#  wget -c http://squid-proxy-pkg.googlecode.com/files/deb-htproxy_14942_i386.tar.bz2

(Untuk Ubuntu 64 Bit)

# wget -c http://squid-proxy-pkg.googlecode.com/files/deb-htproxy_14942_x86-64.tar.bz2

--------------------------------------------------------------

2. Extract paket yang telah di Download tadi

--------------------------------------------------------------

# tar xvf deb-htproxy_14942_[version paket].tar.bz2 && dpkg -i *.deb

--------------------------------------------------------------

3. Cek apakah Proxy sudah terinstall dengan baik

--------------------------------------------------------------

# squid -v

--------------------------------------------------------------

4. Configurasi ulang cache_dir & cache_mem sesuai dengan konfigurasi yang kita inginkan

--------------------------------------------------------------

# vi /etc/squid/squid.conf

--------------------------------------------------------------

5. Ubah permision cache_dir yang telah ditentukan dengan permision proxy:proxy & buat directory swapnya

--------------------------------------------------------------

# chown proxy:proxy /media/cache*  

# squid -z

--------------------------------------------------------------

6. Jalankan Service squid yang sudah kita konfigurasi 

--------------------------------------------------------------

# /etc/init.d/squid start

--------------------------------------------------------------

7. Cek apakah squid berjalan dengan baik dan tercache 

--------------------------------------------------------------

# squid -NDd1C

# tail -f /media/cache/log/access.log  ---------> sesuai dengan access.log yang ditentukan pada squid.conf

--------------------------------------------------------------
8. Jika anda melakukan perubahan pada squid.conf, apply perubahan dengan command berikut :
--------------------------------------------------------------
# squid -k reconfigure

# /etc/init.d/squid restart
--------------------------------------------------------------
